This summer, DNAWORKS invites you to join us in raising $28,000 to bring our latest project to life — WE THE MESSIAH — a groundbreaking Hip Hop remix of Handel’s Messiah created by and featuring award-winning multidisciplinary artist Darian Dauchan.
Infused with beatboxing, live looping, and verses of justice and joy, WE THE MESSIAH, is a multi-faith, multi-media theatrical concert for our times, directed by DNAWORKS Co-Founder Daniel Banks. This piece speaks directly to the heart of community healing and imagination.
Featuring live accompaniment by the Grammy-nominated PUBLIQuartet, this vibrant work fuses spoken word, movement, classical strings, and Hip Hop into a transformative performance experience.
Throughout the fall, DNAWORKS will be engaged in community conversations and rehearsals culminating with workshop presentations of WE THE MESSIAH in Pittsburgh, coupled with storycircles bringing together Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and other communities in interfaith dialogue, healing, and joy. These public sharings will include voices from local leaders mixed live into the soundscape, amplifying community wisdom and connection.
Your gift directly supports:
- Fair wage for our collaborating artists
- Travel & lodging for our ensemble
- Community meetings and dialogue sessions facilitated by Darian Dauchan and Daniel Banks with community collaboration coordinated by DNAWORKS Co-Curator Parag S. Gohel.
This is more than a show. This is a movement — of unity, of culture, of hope.
Donate today and help us build a future where justice and joy take center stage. Every contribution helps.
Thank you,
Daniel & Seema
